current personal training clients:
Hi!
I’m Katie, and I’m one of Muscleworx current personal training clients. I started the weekend after July 4, 2010. He had me write down all of my food that I ate for a week before I came to see him. WELL. Doing that over a holiday weekend was not so fun, but I did it.
I met Jason through a friend. When we met, I had tried everything. I’ve done Weight Watchers four times. I’ve done Nutria-system. I’ve worked out on my own and taken fitness classes. None of it really worked for me. Maybe I lost weight, but I didn’t feel very well. Or, I felt ok, but I didn’t lose weight...
To be quite honest, I felt pretty hopeless by the time I met Jason. He figured me out in about 30 seconds: I was spending more time working and taking care of my clients, worrying about what other people thought about my work/life/appearance than I did taking care of myself. I was actually NOT taking care of myself. I sat in front of my computer for sometimes 14 hours straight. I ate crap, even though I actually like healthy foods. I exercised sporadically. I was, basically, a mess!
Jason said to me “Why don’t you feel like you deserve to have the body you want? Why don’t you feel like you deserve to take care of yourself?” Anyway, I signed myself up and got started. I blocked off 4:30-5:30, Monday-Wednesday-Friday to do my workouts. (That includes my travel time! Workouts are about 1hr.) I started getting up from the computer so that I could eat according to the nutritional plan Jason set for me. And, I started making progress.
As of this writing, it has been eight weeks since I started my transformation journey. I can honestly say that I feel better than I ever have. I’ve lost pounds and inches. I’ve dropped pants sizes. I’m VERY close to standing up on my surfboard, one of my original goals. I’m so much stronger—I’m able to do activities that I could never do before, like standup paddleboarding.
I found out that when I take care of myself, everything else falls into place. I worried that clients would be upset that they couldn’t talk to me during those two hours, but they adjusted. I worried that my husband wouldn’t want to eat what I’m cooking, but he adjusted and he even lost weight! I get more work done, I feel better, and I look better.

Now, not every plan is for everyone. I’ve had people say “I could never do that.” Well, this is the only thing that has ever worked for me: it has helped me get my mind, body, relationships, and life back on track. I do feel like it is a lifestyle I can maintain. I don’t have to buy icky food or supplements. I don’t have to starve. (Actually, sometimes I get tired of eating!)
I’m 8 weeks into my "Body Transformation" program, and I love it. I’m so glad that my friend introduced me to Jason and Muscleworx. Doing this program is the best thing I could have done for me, my husband, my family and my clients.
